22nd Annual Reigning Cats & Dogs

Join KFBK 1530 Kitty O'Neal and CBS' Diana Penna for the 22nd Annual Reigning Cats & Dogs Gala, Saturday, October 18, 2008 from 6:30pm - 10pm at the Sacramento Convention Center. This annual event will host more than 1,200 guests and feature samples offered from many of Sacramento's award-winning wineries, microbrewers, and restaurants. The money raised at this event helps provide care, support and shelter for thousands of animals each year. Our doors stay open through memberships, donations and special events like the Gala, as the Sacramento SPCA receives no government funding.

Tickets are available for $65 each if purchased before October 10th, $75 thereafter. Tickets available at the door through the Convention Center Box Office.

22nd Annual Reigning Cats and Dogs "Whisker Wonderland" original artwork by Nikki Solone. Each of the individual eight pieces will be auctioned off during our live auction. Bid on Opal, Ricky, Benny, Sylvester, Sydney, Romeo, Tom or Feldman! Each piece has a value of $1500.

Lunch for two with Sacramento Magazine's Dining Divas. The winning bidder and a guest will get to eat lunch with the Dining Divas while helping critique the food, wine and service of the chosen restaurant. Golden Moments original oil painting by local artist Bettie Smith. Donated through Hang It Up Gallery of El Dorado Hills. Bettie's words on the piece: "I created this for the SPCA in gratitude for their work in keeping our new companions safe and where we can find them when the time is right." The title is, as often the case, a play on words. The painting is not so much about golden retrievers as it is about those magic moments we get to spend with our pets throughout their lifetime.
