ABOUT JERRY

How long have you been with the Sacramento SPCA Board?
I have been an engaged donor for more than 12 years. At Kenn Altine’s request began serving as the volunteer government relations advocate in 2022 & joined the Board in December 2024.

Where do you live?
I live in Gold River.

Tell us a little about your day, what do you do, what have you done?
While I’m largely retired, I still represent Airbus Helicopters as their law enforcement consultant which requires 15-20 hours per week. I stay connected to the world of politics & government as that’s where I’ve spent the majority of my adult life.

Any past affiliations you would like to share?
Although I spent many years on the board of the Yosemite National Institute providing field science programs for disadvantaged students, the SSPCA is my singular cause today and going forward!

What unique talents and skills do you bring to the SSPCA board?
My more than 65 years of experience with government & politics has allowed me to build a base of knowledge & contact list that I intend to use to advance the awareness and unique value of our amazing organization.

We would love to hear about your family, starting with your pets…
Izzy is my 14-year-old Maltese & Anayoda is our SSPCA pawspice rescue. She was born blind & with a liver shunt that could not be treated in Oakland where she was rescued from. This four-year-old Maltese Terrier mix has been in our lives for more than two years. There aren’t words to describe how much our two beautiful girls add to the quality of life!!

Finally, what excites you about being part of the SSPCA board of directors?
I am excited to be a part of the next level of excellence that our new CEO & our amazing senior leadership team will take us. I am proud to be able to honor the hard work of our staff and volunteers by committing all I can to building on THEIR success!!
