Mon – Sat Community Cat Clinic
Changing to Online Appointments
Monday through Saturday Community Cat clinic spots by appointment only for surgeries on February 1st
To ensure the safety of the community cat trappers visiting our clinic and the cats in their care, the Monday – Saturday Community Cat Clinic is changing to an online sign-up process beginning at 10:00 PM on Wednesday, January 31st. This will allow for individuals who have trapped a cat as early as 10:00 PM the night before surgery to reserve 1 of the 10 daily spots safely (from their computer or mobile device).
The new appointment link will go live at sspca.org/mscommcat at 10:00 PM on January 31st.
10 appointment spots will open each evening at 10:00 PM for the next day’s clinic. Appointments must be made by 6:30 AM on the day of your visit.
To secure 1 of the 10 daily appointments, all clients must meet these requirements:
- You must trap the cat before making an appointment
- Cats must be in a humane cat trap (not a pet carrier), completely covered by a towel or blanket
- One cat per household per day: limit two cats per household per week
- Cats will receive an ear tip
All Monday through Saturday appointments have been sponsored and spay/neuter (along with FVRCP and rabies vaccinations; a mandatory ear tip; and ear mite or flea treatment if needed) will be FREE for all Sacramento County community cats, thanks to the Sacramento SPCA Feline Spay and Neuter Fund.
If the cat was trapped outside of Sacramento County, there will be a $65 fee.
Check-in will be between 7:00 AM – 7:15 AM and pick up is at 4:45 PM the day of surgery.
If you make an appointment, but no longer need it, please cancel to make room for another cat in need. Once an appointment is canceled, that spot becomes available for others.
Thank you for helping us ensure a safer and more streamlined process for our community trappers and the cats in your care. If you have any questions or concerns about this new process or the sign-up platform, please contact us at commcats@sspca.org.
